Garth's New Album and New Approach

The Garth Brooks machine is preparing to send a new volley of songs into the public ear, and not before time! Garth's Wal-Mart adventure has come to an end after some fantastic years breaking every record imaginable, and things are changing once again. Wal-Mart won't be the only ones able to distribute this latest release. In fact, people are talking about Garth doing the distribution himself! For the past two years, Garth embarked on his special relationship with the big box giant, but now things have altered in the Brooks philosophy, and the exciting new release will be available to all retailers. To date, Garth has sold over 115 million albums in the U.S. alone. Only Elvis Presley beats him in album sales by a solo artist.

In living color; the Man is back

Even though he claimed he was retiring in 2001, Garth released a greatest-hits box set, a 'Lost Sessions' CD through retail giant Wal Mart, and he charted 2005's highest-debuting single, 'Good Ride Cowboy'. The single was a form of homage to country star Chris LeDoux, who was a friend of Brooks, and who died of liver cancer in 2005. This new project will be Brooks' first label-distributed album since 2001's 'Scarecrow.' The country star appears to have come out of the Wal-Mart wilderness, and apparently he's hittin' the road again!

It is believed that Garth will issue a three-disc boxed set, "The Ultimate Garth Brooks," on either November 6 or 13. The set will compose 34-tracks, in a two-CD greatest hits collection, and there will be four new songs, plus a DVD with videos, covering every track on the CDs! Nashville-based Big Machine Records has taken the role of pushing Garth's latest songs into radio airpace, and the first track off the album will be available in September. Allegedly, the album includes a remake of Huey Lewis' 1982 smash "Workin' for a Livin'," on which Lewis will play harmonica.

There is also a good deal of speculation regarding live performances or a tour, to support this new endeavor, which can only boost sales and generate more interest than ever in Garth Brooks and his many projects.
